Hubbell Trading Post  Arizona  Townsite - Ghost town

Photos courtesy of Mike Sinnwell 2007

John Lorenzo Hubbell started this trading post in 1876 on the Navajo Indian Reservation. An honest man that was sometime hard to find as a trader with the Indians. He had trading posts all the way to California. He used his freight wagons to haul the goods from his warehouse in Gallup. A true friend to the Indians throughout the southwest.  Can you find the wagon used to haul prisoners?

THANKS to Don Draper for catching my mistake on the Date. (1876 not 1976) Nice gentleman from Nebraska that spent a few minutes on the phone with me discussing Colorado and Utah locations.
