Rexford Colorado

Photos Mike Sinnwell September 2018

Once a mining camp owned and operated by the Rexford Mining Company. This was a company town organized in 1881 consisting of numerous businesses, salons, boarding house and gin mill. Died when the mine was played out.  Fifty years ago, when Robert Brown visited there were still numerous buildings standing. Today, not so much. Apparently Rexford had a short lived post office from January 1882 thru November 1883 that received mail twice a week.
