Caselton Nevada Townsite - Ghost town
I sure saw a lot of Not Welcome signs when I got to this Caselton Nevada ghost town. Everything was posted, "stay OUT" Keep OUT etc. etc. I was able to get a few photos. Did not look like an extremely friendly place. Should have checked with the locals first before going here. My own fault I did not get into the site. All photos fro the road and outside the fence.
The town was founded in the 1920’s. this mill is more modern than most of the mills I explore. Apparently this was built in the 1940’s and operated until 1978. They used an 8,000 foot tunnel to get the ore to the mill.
