Humbolt Nevada Townsite - Ghost town
THANKS to a good guy by the name of Dan that provided these photos. He was one of my Gold prospecting buddies in Alaska.
Silver discovered by Louis Barbeau in 1860 is the driving factor to bring prospectors to this area. Humbolt City was platted in 1861 and in a couple years it had grown to over 500 people.
