Newett Colorado

Photos Mike Sinnwell August 2018

Yes, we met the Mayor. Only her second day on the job. But that is another story. The mayor and her assistant gave us permission to photograph the site. THANKS.

Newett, also known as Chubb’s ranch was a producer of lime and lime rock. The town was named after Robert (Chubb) Newitt although they spelled the name of the town incorrectly. It was also a lumber and ranching town. They used the lime to process ore and sugar.
