Wolverine

September 2019

I didn’t expect to see an electric mountain bike when I got here but I did. A young man was hunting elk with a bow and arrow while traveling the 4x4 roads on an electric mountain bike. A strange sight to see in an abandoned mine site.

Wolverine was a copper mine in North Park. Locate in 1885 the mine was producing into the early 1900’s. A smelter was constructed in 1901 in Pearl, another Colorado ghost town near the wolverine mine.
